Most people I know around here don't like Queen because Freddie was bi. I mean come on, it shouldn't matter. The main point to singing is to entertain people. Who cares if a guy in a band is gay? I am a huge Queen fan and I just think that this is wrong. Freddie Mercury had a wonderful voice.

I never had a problem with Freddie's orientation. It's the music that mattered to me. The only problem I have with Queen is when they went on tour last year with Paul Rodgers singing. He doesn't even sound CLOSE to Freddie. Plus, at the concerts they actually threw in a few Bad Company songs. Talk about a total mismatch!!! By the way, if you want to see a good replacement for Freddie, go to youtube and search for "george michael somebody to love". It shows Queen and George jamming at Wembley stadium 15 years ago. It rocks!!!

I'm just so glad to see new Queen fans all the time! I'm an original fan from back in the 70's , and it's great that a lot of people have realized NOW that they were a great band! By the way , the "people you know" probably love Neil Patrick Harris as an actor , and Shawn Hayes too ....both gay. LOL!

huh? i (personally) don't know anyone who doesn't like queen because of freddy mercury's 'orientation'...first time i've heard that! i saw them when i was stationed in germany-it was THE loudest concert i've been to-my ears were ringing for a day! but it was an awesome show!
