Am I the only one here to find this post (from the Mirror forum) the stupidest thing I've heard since Shambo last mooed in here?

"A few days i started looking carefully at gerrys blogs... I read that someone said there was a code with the mispelled words in his blogs. for some time i have thought that the repetition of words reads oddly, an educated man would have more range. for example the repetition in this one reads -

focus, missing, settle.

is it a code? stop panicking and focus on her being missing (not murdered?) "

Thoughts please! I find this ridiculous. What about you?

If you found that post unbelievable, YOU WON'T BELIEVE THIS. Another fool says: "I was just about to make the same point about the blogs. I'm the one who started the thing going with the "codes" in the blogs for a couple of days. I raised the idea and brought forward a number of examples, then others came on board and one said he'd been thinking the same thing but his post had been buried, and then we all started playing a bit of a game with it - though I have always believed there were messages to the other Tapas 9 in Gerry's blogs. And then, the blogs went quiet for two days (as the tide was turning...), and now the blog is back, but it's completely "straight" - no hidden messages, no references to mundane stuff...

I agree. I think they may know that the "communications" the Portuguese police have been monitoring may not have been traditional communications at all, but the blog and possibly messages of support posted back to the Madeleine site in response..."

That is a very silly idea, I agree with you. It is absurd!

Methinks someone's been watching too many films.

ahahaha....no, that's about the most ridiculous theory ever...even if one or both of the McCanns are in some way involved in Maddies disappearance i doubt very much that any more of the tapas 9 were involved....and as an intelligent man he would know that its easy for an expert to crack a code, and he would also know the police were watching his blog very closely.

It sure is stupid, but it gets worse. Look at this comment someone added: "THEORY: How feasible is the idea that GM, being a surgeon, took a small sliver of M's flesh (from the scar mark on the left leg??), left it in the apartment for the dogs to pick up decaying scent later. Then moved it all over the place to confuse dogs & PJ?"

For f's sake! Could this get any more sick?

Yes, I find that down right hilarious! Some people read way too much into things.
The smartest man I ever knew was the lousiest speller. He was college educated as well. Doesn't mean anything...some people are just born lousy spellers.
Regardless, this doesn't mean that I think Gerry is all innocent.
Good luck!

Me thinks someone needs to find a life, and get out more. Seriously, but that is, as you say, one of the stupidest things i've heard.

I have found a lot of people have WAY too much time on their hands.

I actually feel sorry for them though, they don't seem to have any kind of a life, and that's just sad.

Should be illegal for some people to read The Da Vinci's Code. They get carried away too easily.

What the hell? You're right. That is amazingly stupid. "Messages between the Tapas 9" indeed. LOL!

Oh for goodness sake, that's beyond ridiculous isn't it!

Some people shouldn't be allowed PCs should they.
