What Is Congeniality

Falseness.

It is impossible to like everyone. It goes against our nature. Each of has traits that we like and dislike in others in the same way that we have traits that we like and dislike about ourselves.

The congenial person is one who puts their true feelings aside to achieve some ingratiating behaviour with someone they dislike and would rather not interact with.

I'd prefer your honesty. If you dislike me, don't make a false effort. I won't crumble and tremble if some people dislike me. It does me no good, nor does it do you any good to be congenial.

Social niceness is merely the suppression of our true feelings for one another.

I love this question, as if one might simply pull definitions out of thin air if one desires. If the DICTIONARY definitions don't do anything for you, how about trying a different word.
