What did you say? Did you say everybody goes on about how great Macs are? Lmao. This must be the funniest thing I have ever heard. Hold on a sec. A mac that lacks software is great? A mac that costs $$$ that you can rearly use? A mac that easily get scratched is great? A mac that features a poor Graphic Card is great?
Let me tell you why people like Mac, especially the little kids. The visual is an eye catching candy. What else? Nothing else.
Less problems? Of course we here how terrible Microsoft is, but we don't hear many windows user complaing about hardware, just software. Check out Mac users; they constantly cry like baby when their Mac LCD has a vertical line in it, the Mac won't turn on, the Mac makes crazy noises, the Mac heats up, the Mac DVD tray won't open. Go ahead and buy your Mac. Nobody stopping you. But if you think Windows got problems, check out Mac world. Hahaha.
I look forward in hearing you say, " My Mac suck"

Hi,
You have a made a common mistake thinking that Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint are Windows software. Microsoft Office is Macintosh software that was ported to Windows, not the other way around.
When it comes to Microsoft Office it's the Windows folks who need to know whether they can run Mac software. Microsoft Office is Macintosh native.
The file format for Mac and Windows Office files is the same. There are some specific differences between the two operating systems, but by and large the files are completely interchangeable.
There's a rebate on the Mac version until Sept 3.

Windows can be run on MacBooks so you can get compatibility just as good as any other laptop out there.
The Mac version of Office should be able to handle anything you need for school and should be able to write a file that a windows user can read while also being able to read files written by windows users.

In my opinion I would just go with a pc if you want windows software, especially if you are wanting a computer for schoolwork, more programs are compatible with PCs and PCs are cheaper than macs, but are just as powerful, if not more powerful, then macs. If you are planning to play any games on your computer then good luck finding many good games on your mac. I think some windows programs are compatible with macs though, but you may have to buy a special version for macs. hope that helped

Yes they are but you gotta have parallels. It is a program that allows you to run windows. You can use boot camp. Free only thing is that boot camp is dual booting. Either run mac or windows. Parallels let you run both at the same time. Allowing you to install windows. They have microsoft office for macs too. Most university use both. Anything you can do in windows you can do it mac in most cases.
