There are three important factors which make an arguement strong.
Timing. When you bring up the right point, or the right thing to say at the right time. You can really have an impact on the debate.
Rhetoric. The most famous arguements and speeches etc all include rhetoric! This is simple. Rhetoric makes your opponant think. When they think and reconsider their opinion, you have won.
Authority. Whether you are right or wrong, or whatever, if you have the appearance of authority, or have an authoritative personality to support your opinion people are much more likely to bend to your will in the debate!
If you can combine these three techniques with a sound knowledge of your subject matter, both yours and your opponants -debate becomes a simple game of cat and mouse and you are the cat.

A good argument is an informed one.
And if someone offers a web site as a source of information or as a proof of a fact, it's not a good argument, because 99% of what you get on the Internet is just plain silly. Unfortunately many people think, that if it's written on a web site, it must be true.

The quality of your argument is the quality of the evidence that you use. This, however, is quite pointless. You cannot convince someone who is unwilling to change a belief that they hold -- no matter how inaccurate they are. Despite endless reams of evidence, the unwilling person will still find a way to avoid changing the belief that they stubbornly hold.
Resign yourself that there is confirmation bias and anyone who willingly excludes contrary evidence is experiencing a delusion.

Looses neither the argument nor the chum! in one in each of a marriage a poet grew to become into blessing the newly wedded couple with a poem. 2 lines of the long poem which I remember even after 40 years, ?????????? ?????? ???????? ???????????? ??????? ????????! venRidum eNNam vENdAm vittuththAn kodukka vENdum! Translation: Don’t ever think of to win you are able to desire to loose in basic terms! In arguments the two the events by no skill settle for the info as they have their biased view. Even in courts, after the arguments, in basic terms the decide grant the call and looser by no skill accepts that he lost and that feeling in basic terms activates him to document charm against that judgment in larger communicate board. in fact in friendship or in relatives relationship, the only loses in argument neither looses the argument nor the friendship or relationship! Argument is desperate aside and the friendship bondage retained with the aid of loosing the argument! In another satisfied celebration it is going to proceed!
