my sound card is an intel(r) 82801 aa/ab/ba/ca ac`97 but the intel website does not have them please help

u need to go to ur pc manufacturers website and look up ur model of pc in their support / driver download section ...

due to the various codecs used by different manufacturers there are no public downloads at Intel for AC97-either use your cd and if you dont have it go to website of brand puter you have and go to the drivers page for your model. Under sound or audio drivers just look for it--its there somewhere.

check the windows updater. you can find it on the programs list. they found about three sets of drivers for my video card that is just old enough to not have drivers listed on the NVidia website

1. http://www.driverguide.com/ This site has a large collection of drivers, but you must register (for free) in order to download most of them.

2. http://drivers.softpedia.com/ This site doesn't have as many drivers, but it doesn't require any registering.

The best place will the your motherboard mfr's website. ac97 is an integrated solution and most mobo mfr's have driver downloads in their support pages.
