The meteors are often dim and only about 1 every 2 minutes on average tonight. Tomorrow night will be double (60-80 meteors/hour) with a flurry of meteors predicted around 4 am EDST Monday morning. In general, for a meteor shower, the best viewing is after midnight until 4 or 5 am.

Just get a dark viewing site, a comfortable reclining chair, some warm clothes, bug repellent and look up and be patient. Some willl be bright and some dim.

Are you looking toward the north east? Is there any cloud covering? Too much light from the city? We have seen a lot of meteors over the past week so we know it's building up. 3 nights ago we were seeing about 10-12 an hour.

The PEAK is tomorrow night but it's been going on for a couple of weeks already and will for a while after the Peak as well. It's not just a one night thing. It's just going to be best Sunday night.

On any given night, activity starts slowly in the evening but picks up by 11 p.m., when the radiant gets reasonably high in the sky. The meteor rate increases steadily through the night as the radiant rises higher, peaking just before the sky starts to get light, roughly 1½ to 2 hours before sunrise.

Peak activity will be in the predawn hours of Monday morning. The meteor rate will be roughly 30 per hour in the predawn hours on Saturday, 45 per hour on Sunday morning, and 80 per hour before the sky starts to get light on Monday morning. That's for a single observer at a dark-sky site in the north temperate latitudes.

The meteor shower starts tomorrow night, but it will reach it's peak right before sunrise on Monday.

Because you are on a computer instead of outside watching for meteors. Just pick a clear area of sky and watch a while. It shouldn't take long.

The peak will not be until after local midnight.
