The opposing party thinks my opinion is wrong simply because it is not the opposing party's opinion. Seems like government no longer cares about what is right or wrong, just whether the idea comes from the right or left. At least that's my opinion. Of course someone from an opposing party would say I'm wrong.

Other than saying "....is something they disagree with"...

I don't see how it's possible to attribute one conclusion or response to everyone in a huge group -- and even the disagreement comment is a generalization based on your reference to them being "opposing party" meaning they have to oppose something.

I think the less we focus on parties and groups and generalizations -- and the more we deal with individuals and specific statutes and defined situations -- the better we're going to be able to solve problems -- rather than just promulgating more anger and dissension.

I honestly don't believe that the 'opposition' thinks about my opinion, or it's rarely if they do... other than to vote 'bad answer' and move on. Their minds are pretty much made up already, and mine too... although there have been a few that have shown me a new perspective on an issue.

BTW... I left out party, anyone can disagree with me :-)

Could you finish this sentence, the opposing party thinks my opinion is? Exactly!

The opposing party thinks my opinion is *impractical*. I am: anti-war, pro universal healthcare, and generally very liberal in most of my opinions. I've been called a communist, been accused of "supporting terroism" (yeah, okay...), have been called a "dirty hippie". I am none of these things, and certainly don't support terrorism. I find it rather amusing that someone could be so closed-minded to think that I actually do!

I couldn't tell you

The "opposing party" isn't a single person and I sincerely doubt that they would have a unified opinion
