Oh, so you've not heard the old story of long ago prior to drawing boards? Well, I'm one in ten million who know my friend! Here's the secret: Before drawing boards were used, a group of ten volunteers with very large steady hands would line up so the man drawing the plans could paint them in detail. Of course this kind of work got to be taxing as the hands get awful heavy holding them up for so long. After awhile, someone thought they should use large leaves to put the information down on, but of course this took holding them in place when there was a breeze. Then while the men were hunting for food, they stumbled on a large piece of slate that seemed to be big enough to display the details on it. Eureka! Then as they further progressed, the notion came like a strick of lightening to one to make it large and more efficient. "And now you know the REST of the story"! Now that's GOTTA get me 10 points for cleverness right off the cuff!
