What would you do if there were a bubble in the stem of the burette as you were about to start the titration?
NOTE: it's in the stem , not in the tip.
Thanks in advance!!

If you can, tap the stem and release the bubble. If you noticed the bubble after you start the titration, don't tap and release the bubble since that will affect the reading.

Since it is the difference of the readings on the stem that you need, a bubble doesn't affect the accuracy of your experiment unless of course the bubble decides to go up and pop off in between.

i think removing the liquid in the burette gently and refilling it gently by tilting the burette to a certain angle will do the trick.(usually one doesnt see bubbles in the stem when u r filling)

Add more titrant to the burrette so you can quickly remove a portion using the stopcock. If that doesn't do it, gently tap the area near the bubble.
If neither of these works, then there is an impurity (oil/wax perhaps) on the glass surface. Clean with Cleaning Solution and try again.

Drain out the burette and refill it.
