What genres do you like? Have you read the DaVinci Code? Or what about it's prequel Angels and Demons? I might have spelled prequel wrong- oh well. Also once you read these, or maybe before you could pick up some books that tell of the symbolism because you have to have a background knowledge of history and symbolism to understand everything in the books completely...if you like magical type fiction books you can try the Blue is for Nightmares series about witchcraft. Or whatever you're interested in you can really just go to say amazon and look up titles and get a book that looks interesting-that's what I would do. What do you want to learn about?

The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd is a book I always suggest to young women in the Library. Simply put, it is about a girl's search for her mother and the amazing relationships she develops along the way. Set in the early 1960s, the Civil Rights Movement plays part in her story. It's wonderful!
If you like something a little more on the dark side, The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. This story is told from the point of view of a dead girl. Very interesting.

I also enjoy Harry Potter books, so maybe you'll have the same taste as I do. One particular book that comes to mind that I really liked was Wicked by Gregory McGuire. It's fiction and has romance, adventure, humour and inspired the hit musical Wicked on Broadway.
