If it's a 7.5" 10 bolt, and your putting any power down then I wouldnt change a thing in it.. Just wasting your money.. I broke 2 7.5" rears just running 11's in the 1/4 mile..
Go with a 12 bolt, or 9"
Now if it's a 8.5" 10 bolt, 12 bolt or you just want to build the 7.5" then...
Moser, yukon, strange, etc axles, Timkin bearings through out the rear end.. TA alum support cover with the pre load bolts.
Have the axle tubes welded to the center.
Good gear oil like red line, RP, amsoil, etc.

U-joints & fill the pumpkin with synthetic fill. This will help lessen friction on the ring and pinion.

If you don't want to get inside the engine, do all the outside tricks like headers, 2-3 inch exhaust, aluminum intake, holley/edelbrock carb, high perf. coil and distributor, MSD box, and there's always nitrous!
