i feel you, life is meant to be abused. live fast, do what you will, don't let any thing or any one get in your way cause one day you will get old and if you look back at what you didn't do it will eat you alive. so if you feel like doing something that's a danger to your life, do it who cares? what really matters is good times--(sex,alcohol,and rock and roll)

Hopefully, it is not "meaningless". I do not fear pain, paralysis or death; I wish I could do away with pain, I hope I do not become paralyzed (avoiding doctors is part of that goal), and death is natural. To live is to die. Of course, I am hoping, at present, that that time is years from now, but who knows?
Apparently these flackers are not Christians? That is what characterized Christians before: they did not fear death, because they firmly believed that they would go to Heaven to sit on the right hand side of God.
Perhaps you could say that to these folks...
Or, is it that they want you to have a painful death? I was told that I am not supposed to die peacefully, but in agonizing pain.
Anyhew, your own viewpoint is what counts. If others have a problem with it, then that is their problem!

i agree with you. i am terrified of any pain. people are probably afraid because they are unsure of what comes next, or even more so, the pain they will feel or what they will go through as they die & the fact that thats it - no second chances. people can be dramatic about this, religion plays its part in this off course. but, when you think of it, it is simply a means for the world to carry on. when you die (hopefully you have made the most of your time on earth), you are merely moving on & making space for the next person to be born & have a go at life. the bottom line is: as long as you have done your best to have a great life & therefor feel fulfilled, then when you die, you may be surprised that you won't as sad you thought you would, because you had a full life, & now its someone elses turn.

I do not fear death either, I do not know if it is normal not to fear death or not, but know that you are not alone. Life, without death means nothing, there cannot be life without death. The whole point of death is to make sure that you live your life to the fullest no matter what, because tomorrow may be your last day.

Death is nothing to fear. We leave this world in a blink of a eye. Yes that fast.
It is going to sleep. So yes it is normal not to fear death. Perhaps God sees you as ready..... as you wait to be with him.
