It shows what money can do. He is the only Republican candidate that actually spent time courting Iowa. Millions and a lot of time on his part gave him the vote, as expected. It's unclear what this means in the long run.

right that's a litmus attempt: evolution. Bachmann believes that creationism could learn in US public colleges. that's a litmus attempt for me - if a candidate won't be able to settle for something as scientifically shown and logical because of the fact the theory of evolution, goodness knows what he/she would be able to do as President.

He spent money there and won. I think it was a momentum thing to him. Not really telling. But it's never bad to win smoething.

Sure -- of the republicans who participated, he has the best name recognition -- this is no surprise to anyone.

Which is why the other front-runners didn't even participate -- that way, they cannot be compared against his numbers.
