I used to be very trusting. Thought everyone in the world was great. Till they all screwed me over. So now I don't trust too many people I always have my back up. I have evolved into 'suspicious by nature' because of my past life experiences!

I am suspicious by pure common sense, and by reason of a well developed sense of self preservation. Anybody with half a brain knows the kind of world we live in these days. The frauds, liars, confidence tricksters and general all-around phonies are everywhere, and they sure don't walk about with a sign on their chest that reads "I'm a liar, a cheat, a thief and a scoundrel. Do not trust me"

I do not blindly trust anybody whose absolute trustworthyness, reliability, and impeccable integrity have not been verified and vouched for by others who have already had dealings with that person. This is why it's highly unlikely I will ever be the victim of a confidence trick. But confidence tricksters still make a phenominally good living, even in these days where people are being warned fifteen ways from Sunday about the way they operate. It seems inconceivable that they still have no problem finding their next sucker. But P.T. Barnum said it first and said it best, when he commented "There's one born every minute".

Suspicious by nature. Been stabbed in the back my too many people whom I thought were my friends and others. Some people just get a kick out of backstabbing people, as if was a national sport or something. Being suspicious also keeps you out of trouble a lot of time, especially when it comes to money.

I don't like feeling that way, but stab me one phooey on you, stab me twice, phooey on me.

always been trusting...as we age and learn about the world..always still trust, but learn from the people who screwed us, because that will always happen. but just be cautious and learn and go with your instints on who is real and who is not....but do not lose the ability to trust people. that would be sad. I think people that are suspicious by nature are miserable.

Of people that I know, I am generally trusting, unless I know them and I know that they don't deserve my trust. Of people that I don't know I am generally less trusting, but not really suspicious. So I guess that makes me pretty trusting doesn't it?

I am usually suspicious, especially when someone is just too friendly too quick. And as a parent you learn real fast never to let that guard down.
