Ok all I'm stumped by this one hope someone here has had similar experience and can help. I have a 91 Integra 1.8 that I recently bought it runs great but the timing belt vibrated when i press the gas in gear or out. I took it to the only shop that has ever worked on any of my Honda or Acura cars and had them among other things replace the timing belt water pump and timing belt tensioner. Got the car back it still runs great but still has this vibration. I took it back tot the shop the tested the tension and its right where it should be. Anyone have any ideas why my belt could be vibrating.

Thanks in advance

What do you really mean vibrate. The timing belt will always have a little vibration. How were you able to see it anyway. Did you take the timing cover off and pushed down on the throttle body linkage.

There isn't a balance shaft of the 1.8 .

Well my first thought would be that the balancer shaft isnt timed right ??? Second thought, how could it be that the belt is vibrating and you can hear it or feel it ???

your best bet is that your cam or your water pump pulley is bent from the belt being to tight. take the top cover off and run the engine dont rev it just look for the pulley that wobbles. that is your problem. i have seen them snap on the cams and then your need all new valves.
