You have to make these people believe that they cannot live another day without your services. Tell them that you are goal oriented and you want to take this position and use it as a stepping stone for a full time committed career. Let them know that you are the best candidate. Be serious, professional and try to keep an open mind if your interviewer happens to crack a joke (to lighten the moment) laugh but dont compete with them. Just be your true self. My best advice is to dress sharp and professional and ignore your competition. Your there for you, not them. Your appearance and charm will get you what you want. Good Luck with that.

As someone who is often interviewing people for jobs, the best advice is;
1) be on time,
2) dress appropriately
3) make eye contact when speaking (its hard when you are nervous)
4) do your homework, know a little about the company, its challenges and its objectives.
5) Don't be afraid to show that you are a fun and professional person, no company wants a non-professional employee, but jerks and stiffs also can be detrimental to the workplace chemistry.
6) ask some questions, this shows confidence, interest and may lead to a topic that builds rapport with the interviewer.
good luck

whilst in comparison with the 1st interview, a 2d interview will in all probability contain greater practise, greater human beings, greater questions, greater intensity, and greater tension -- to boot to greater probability which you will land the interest. you would be able to interview with managers, senior executives, branch heads, and potential group members. for pupils, this 2d-interview day could characterize the 1st time the pupil has been interviewed interior the enterprise's place of work. Plan to convey passable copies of your resume for each and all of the folk you would be assembly with. Do attempt to confirm in develop precisely what the schedule would be and whom you could assume to interview with. while you at the instant are not given this practise whilst the interview is set up, touch the assistant of the main considerable person with whom you would be assembly to work out what you will discover out. in case you notice that a place of work excursion isn't blanketed on the schedule, ask if somebody can teach you around as time facilitates. As you respond to a query, take care of eye touch with anybody on the interview -- not purely the panelist who asked the question.

research the company. Ask questions about what your role would be in connection to that. For example, "I understand that in the last fiscal year you added two more positions because of (fill in the blank). Would this position be one of those, or another vacant position?"
Make eye contact, have a resume on hand (if you didn't one the first one). Show your enthusiasm, just don't go overboard. Explain your goals.

Make sure you get the name of each person, and use it often during your meeting with him/her.
These are the major points of peer interviews:
o Be sure to show that you are able to carry your own weight and won't be a hindrance to coworkers.
o Be sure to show that you're a team player and will support your coworkers and not hog the limelight.
o Be sure to show that you're not a gossiper, gum chewer, nail filer, or other strange or annoying habits person who will irritate the hell out of your coworkers.

If there is one thing that makes a employee a priceless assest is 3 basic things.
Leadership
Problem solver
Profit maker (or a dude who can reduce cost and remain effective)
Putting all in simple terms, I first ask you what this job is.
Is it something you love? That you have true passion?
If you don't have passion, there's not much that can be done if you present yourself wrongly during the interview.
You must be able to go into that door, confident, able to answer the interviewer's question's without hesitation. Don't cover your mouth or don ever hesitate in answering a simple question.
First thing first, is first impression. You have to appear humble, and be humble. Shake hands, and smile with a big cresent moon on your face. Make sure you are dressed for success.
the above I wrote is best for what to go through.
But here's the harder part.
As he asks you questions, aside from answering confidently (sit straight), you must present enthusiam, energy and passion in your tone of voice. No matter how hard the question gets or stressful it may sound, ALWAYS look at the interviewer's eyes when you answer. NEVER look down, look nervous or sweat.
All this small things, simple? NO I can assure you as human habits are common in doing the opposite of what I said. It's always easier said then done.
Smile when he asks questions about the job you love. If not, give a slight smile for normal question. But importantly, smileand look confident most of the time.
Now comes the even harder part.
"Presentation during the questioning." Job differences require different traits during the interview.
I don't know yours so I'll give what is viable for most jobs.
During questionings, do what you can to show them that you are truly passionate about your job. But at the same time, show them you are a problem saver.
One of the most impressive ability from any candidate which I have seen is one who studies the company he joins.
If you truly want this job, research the company, it's sales, it's issues, it's problems, positions, competitors esspecially.
Then go in there and present your knowledge during questioning and how you have come to be able to solve most problems and even cut costs. Learn to be independent, and create value for yourself.
To summarize for you in simple terms, I give you my employee.
A man who steps in, present himself. He had a stone cold face, handsome though, and tough. At first glance, he seems incapable but he filled one criteria I was looking for. Looking bad. I had 3 retail outlet running different cultures, one of them needed his stone cold expression.
Is he capable? Not to me... until he presented to me his abilities to help me cut cost, increase profits, knows my company vision, mission, problems and even knows my competitors weaknesses and strengths and how he can counter-act their actions on us. I immediately hired him, no question asked. My business needed him.
In fact, my friend...create value for yourself. As much as all this is troublesome, think for a second.
If you did all this, honestly wouldn't you not need to look for jobs? Jobs will find you.
Because many shops this employee of mine went, people recognize him (cuz he dresses funny, but it's a criteria in my business anyway, ha ha), so noticing him was easy, but his name for his capabilities spread through the gaming world in my field like wildfire. Different jobs are head hunting him. Sending him letters, offer higher pay, benefits and bonuses. I ended up increasing his pay to keep him, and he requested for more responsiblity to be fair.
He created loyalty to my business and to me. He created value for himself. He presented Leadership with the lower crew, and treated everyone with respect no matter who they are and what role they play in my business. He presented Intergrity, honestly, he's truly humble and he cut our cost well and increased profits.
He create a value in himself so much that many wants him with them.
You my friend must create value for yourself. You must be able to do more then you are paid to do. When you can do that, you become independent. You will inspire others, but you will impress the boss. I say this because I believe you will get the job. So long as you create a value for yourself.
Don't step in a man looking for the job. Step in as a man ready to take on the challenges the company face while doing your job. Even if your field is more, that doesn't mean you cannot do an outstanding job, while influeancing those from other departments. Interview....DO what it takes to get this job if you love it.
If you don't have the passion for this job like my employee, then please, don't join, because I have rejected and fired fast of thos that never present the independency and energy to do what it takes to succeed for the business and better themselves.
Create Value.
Be the Nokia N95, not a Nokia 6260.

Just don't be fake in any thing, in any way. Don't let your ambition or ego write checks you can't cash, ok!
Just be honest.
