you go to see the singer SING. not just stand up there and pretend to sing. that would be pointless. instead of going to the concerts to see a singer lip sync, they would just stay at home and listen to the songs there.

I understand the "I have to dance around" argument but the true is that most fans don't mind if the singer sounds a little tired (he is only human after all) but that's precisely why people go to the concerts.
And if people like the Beatles, Elvis Presley, The Rollingstones and many other legends could do sing and dance and jump and sweat like pro basketball player using their real voice I see no excuse to do lip-sync now.
If people want to hear a perfect sounding professionally recorded CD they just can buy and play it at home, no need to pay a lot of money on a crowd place to hear the very same CD they already have.
But if singers want to do lip sync at least they should make it clear in the concert advertising. That way people can choose.
Besides that's the only way to avoid the fake singers (there are too many posers that can't sing unless they have a studio recording making them sound like the real thing).

That relies upon on the area. now and lower back artists might come to a determination to lip sync to their music in the event that they intend on doing an excellent sort of dancing duing a stay overall performance so as that they gained't be out of breath. i don't think of that's a undesirable ingredient for that reason. a good occasion is Backstreet Boys while they first got here out on in straight forward terms a number of their upbeat dancing songs, yet they actually can sing nicely without lip syncing. on the different hand, some artists lip sync to their track because of the fact their making a music has been more suitable on their CD and that they won't be able to particularly sing in genuine life. for that reason, that's deceitful and actual a undesirable ingredient. a good occasion is Ashley Simpson.

Lip-synching is a thoroughly dishonest practice. It's used for singers who sound good on recordings but can't sing well in real life. If I wanted to hear someone perform a song that sounds exactly like the CD recording, I'd save myself some money and buy it instead of going to the concert.

I guess you are one of the few people who don't feel ripped off when you go to a LIVE concert to hear your favorite performer sing, and they are lip syncing the whole concert. The dancing should never take precedence over the singing because the singing is what made them famous to begin with and the dancing more the visual side for videos....which are lip synced btw.

Many artist do not lip sync ONLY when their throat hurts. They do it because they can't sing on stage.
But it really depends. Recording vocals usually have more than just the artist vocals. They usually blend it with backing vocals to create a more rich sounding vocals. One single vocal can never achieve the kind of sounds you hear in records. So it's not always100% the artist vocals.
Some artist do have backing tracks being played during performance, to make their sound richer, but these artist do still sings along with the backing track.
But some artist just couldn't sing live. They are bad signer, they can only sounds well in studio recording with all the mixing and stuff. So they lip sync, which is a cheap trick. If you can't sing on stage, you're a bad artist no matter what.
But it depends on the fans. If you like your artist because he/she is good looking and dance well and you don't mind if they can't sing on stage, and you prefer to see choregraph performance rather than real singing, its totally fine.
For me, I hate dancing on stage. They are vocalist and they should be a vocalist, not a dancer. A good artist must be capable of singing on stage, and I only spends my money on good artist.

if you are advertising a "Live" concert and give them lip synching its false advertising, and it is also a lazy way to do business. If you are going to lip synch, why bother coming on at all, why not just show a video? Singers have been performing live concerts for years. Its a way to put yourself out there for your fans. If you dont like performing live you have no business getting into singing in the first place.

Wow, sounds like you're talking about Hannah Montannah. But in any case, I wouldn't wanna pay a lot of money just to go see some one lip sync. And if they lip sync all the time, how would we know if they were even good? There's a lot of technology to fix singer's errors in the studio

At concerts people generally pay for their ticket expecting to see/hear the artist actually performing. I'd feel kind of cheated if someone were lip synching at a concert.
As for shows and stuff on TV, that's different territory. I have no problem with lip synching there.

If you charge people money to come to your concerts you're ripping them off by faking it. I would be royally miffed if I went to a concert and they were lip-syncing. I could have saved money and stayed home and listened to the CD. I admire people with actual talent who can sing live.
