because traditionally landlords have had problems with cats spraying and destroying the carpets.
it is hard to get that smell out.
you have to even replace the base boards etc.
good luck :)

I think every Condo Complex who allows dogs will allow cats as well. In our local MLS we just don't have the option for cats, it just offers dogs. Guess cats are just discriminated (:
They tried a few years back to replace the "dog" with the word "Pets" and some really wreird "pets" showed up all the sudden in those condo complexes, so they went back to the "dog" as a replacement, but like i said before that normally includes the cat as well.

Assistance dogs, such as dogs for the blind, have a special set of laws in many states. Refusing to rent to a person with a guide, hearing or service dog is prohibited in more than 30 states, including California, Louisiana and New York.
Above all, don't sneak in a pet and hope no one notices. Breaking a no-pet rule may be grounds for eviction.

I wrote condominium declarations that ban cats, but not dogs. I did it because of some state and federal laws that protect endangered species of mice and birds that are likely to be hunted by cats, but not by dogs. My clients did not want those provisions in the condo documents, but the state required them to be there.

no longer extremely as fewer and much less complexes are allowing dogs in any respect. Even those that do enable dogs oftentimes value a nonrefundable deposit in line with dogs. considering that those can get exceptionally steep, few individuals that are renting could have adequate money to pay for many. in case you're finding for information for a chum, tell them that suited for puppy proprietors is oftentimes to hire a house or duplex. in lots of situations those hire for an analogous or purely somewhat bigger than residences. In some factors, notably, renting a house is extra decrease priced. as an occasion, as quickly as I lived in Atlanta, the main inexpensive house shall we hit upon became $six hundred, and that became a extreme crime community. We rented a 3BR abode in a plenty safer section for $550. abode leases, somewhat those with fenced yards, are oftentimes much less complicated going approximately pets than complexes.
