If the leak is not to big you can purchase stop leak for power steering from an auto parts store. I used this for about a year on my vehicle before fixing the problem. what this does is swell up the gaskets that are in the power steering unit and it will stop for a while but eventually you will have to get it fixed right. do not buy the cheap stop leak or it wont work

It would be nice to see, all the updates, for people that used stop leak, ruined their power steering pumps, destroyed their rack and pinion seals, and, leaked that stuff all over their motor causing further damage and deterioration to tbeir components. You are better off, adding the proper fluid, than adding stop leak. I believe Many of these posts, stating stop leak works, are working for the companies that sell this. These products will more than likely ruin your components, and cost you, not less, But Much Much $$$$ than if you had just added the proper fluid & fixed it properly. Most of the time power steering leaks are very simple fixes. Add a stop leak, and now it became expensive.

Fix it? Replace the leaking component? Learn to drive without power steering?

Take it to a mechanic. You failed to list the year, make and model of the car so we have no way to help you. Try some Lucas stop leak if you know what the power steering reservoir is.

A few men from different stores told me to put brake fluid in the power steering reservoir. It worked.

I would tighten the bolts up on the pump, and take some jb weld and pour it on the leak, then cover the leak good with duct tape.
