When you take your car to an auto shop for an oil change, do they replace the oil filter also ?

Generally it is called a Lube, Oil and Filter so the oil filter and oil should be changed.

Yes. They are supposed to change it with every oil change.

yes they do every time,they usually ask you what type filter you want to use on it at most places now days,they carry more than one type now,but they always replace them,they even change your air and fuel filters too if you ask them to,good luck with it.

The good ones will. I guess they could get away with not doing it, but it should be replaced EVERY time!

they better because i assure you that the're charging you for it. you also better make sure the're checking all the other fluids.
