I think my car need its air filter changed. How much would it normally cost to take it to an auto shop and get it replaced ?

Don't bring it to a shop; do it yourself. It usually is only a matter of a few clips or screws to remove the housing; the filter element lifts out and the new one drops right into place. A new filter is less than ten dollars; if you want to pay someone to do it for you, it'll probably be double that amount.

If you buy a new filter at AutoZone (and/or Pep Boys), they'll gladly show you how to change it yourself. Good luck!

I would take the cleaner off and look at it. You can tell if it is dirty or not, and it also may be a reusable filter that you can clean with a brush.

If you don't want to do it yourself, then just have them do it when you get the oil changed. they will charge you about 20 bucks give or take a few dollars.
