Was the head properly torqued? were the heads checked for cracks, it may also be a warped block. You really need to know if combustion gasses are entering the cooling system, there are several chemical tests you can do to verify this. If you have combustion gasses present in the cooling system, it is time to tear the engine down (or at least the heads)

i agree with "report me dodgeman". you should take it to a ford dealership. There are many things that can make a car run hot. with the car cold or not very hot open up the radiator cap and start the engine. as the coolant passes through it should "burp" out any trapped air that may be stuck in the system. Beyond the cooling system, a lean air/fuel mixture can cause the engine to run hot. If you spray the engine with brake clean or 2+2 around the intake and vacuum lines, etc. you will notice a vacuum leak if the engine stumbles. If an emissions test was run you'd see this as the NOx levels over the limit. Over advanced ignition timing can also cause overheating.

could be an air pocket if the system wasnt bled right. if you are seeing coolant flowing through the radiator than this isn't a problem. does the fan cycle like it should.... i mean off and on. if it is have you checked the gauge ??? what makes you believe that it is overheating ???

sounds like you have a hose giving in,check all you hoses from the radiator, and the one going to the thermostat,or better still take the termostat out to make sure you have it in right, that may take you towaed the real oroblem

You might well have an air pocket.
Try cycling the heater on ........
- Don't laugh,
it can clear an air pocket.
