If yes, what are some the qualities you have that make you think or feel you are indeed an individualist?

okay but is being an individualist the same as being anti-social? could you really go to school or work with no cloths on and still don't care about what others think of you?

I think it is interesting that you used going to school with NO clothes as an example of individualism. What happened to "going to school and not caring what other people think of your outfit" as an example? Apparently, *group-think* means being preoccupied with the disgusting, filthy, and dirty. Can you blame someone for wanting no part of that?

Clothing is not strictly a social concern, it can be utilitarian. If it's COLD, I wouldn't go ANYWHERE naked! But I don't care whether or not you approve of my overcoat.

I have often pondered whether or not nonconformists must also conform to some rules of nonconformity. Seriously.
Having said that, I do reserve the right to think and act in ways that are in synch with my morals and values no matter what else might be popular. I've never been a "band wagon" type of individual. I do not offer a dissenting point of view on issues just for the sake of argument, but if I do have a different opinion or point of view I am not afraid to express it. If that makes me an individualist, so be it. Lemmings do not experience happy endings!

I actively work towards unrooting confirmation bias. I actively review why I am willing to believe what I have been told or taught without any rational explanation for why I should believe those things. I treat information as information.

I don't believe or accept merely because it popular, common, "natural" or otherwise argued. I don't participate in group think -- rather I don't fear rejection or abandonment, so I am quite comfortable with those times that I disagree with others on any issue.

I don't feel the need to be different or the same. Neither is a trait or quality that I seek. If a belief, thought or feeling originates from me, I accept responsibility and accept that I have created the state.

I'm probably more of an individualist than I really plan or want to be. You see, I think individualists may border on being asocial or anti-social because I think that they really value the individual traits within themselves and don't really care what other people think. They don't feel swayed or pressured by their friends. They depend on themselves. They don't follow others too well, because they find gratification in carving their own path and take pride in their ability to do things their way. But you must try and fit in and care about what others think. That's important. But we cannot change who we are. We either like to conform or not....

i try to treat each one as different as he/she deserves (in the good way). all had different experiences, have different believes, thoughts, act individually... although i don't believe we should consider ourselves much as individuals, but act as a team for the best of all, yes i'm an individualist cause i respect that others believe they are much of individuals.
