Earlier this evening, I went to go feed my hermit crabs and I saw these termite looking things in the tank everywhere. They were breeding in it! Will they harm my hermit crabs? Anyways, when I went to go take out the one on the surface, I saw that my other hermit crab's (i have 2) shell was right by my other crab. It wasent there a few hours ago so he must have dug his way up to the surface after 5 weeks in the sand! Well Hermie (the one I went to take out) was now in my other crabs shell. Its so confusing! So where is my other one if he is not in his shell but he dug his way up to the surface, then got out of his shell and Hermie got in? Will he die if he runs around without a shell? I already took Hermie out into a spare cage just untill we clean it out and get all the bugs out. But will my other crab find another shell or should I look for him more? Will he be alright? I really dont want him to die.
