Fantasy Football has benifited the NFL because more people know who is on whos team, knows who are the best people in the nfl and when they check there stats to see if they want to pick them you can see all of the numbers they put up last year..............so it really helps just by making it more popular

Just the interest in the game has increased. Just look at how popular Sunday Ticket on Direct TV is. I wonder how many people would sign up for this if they weren't playing fantasy football?
From a personal view, I know fantasy football has made me pay closer attention. I was a big fan of the NFL growing up and would watch any game I could. Then I started to lose interest, and would basically just watch the Vikings.
Then I started playing fantasy football, and now I watch more games and play closer attention again.

More interest in all teams due to fantasy players having an interest in players from several teams. This translates into more viewship which enables NFL to charge more for its contracts with the networks. Hence, more income.
