I live in Florida and am able to go to remote areas that enable me to clearly and easily see the stars. I really enjoy watching the stars and try to do it as often as I can. I know that there are several meteor showers during the year and would love to see one some time soon but I have no idea when the next one will be.

You're in luck - the next one is this weekend. The Perseid meteor shower starts very late Sunday night/early Monday morning; look toward the northeast, toward the constellation Perseus. Good viewing!

the subsequent substantial meteor bathe stands out as the leonid bathe Saturday November 18, 2006. Meteor showers ensue while the Earth passes via the remains of the airborne dirt and mud tail of a comet which has surpassed via the Earth's orbital direction earlier. in this actual case the comet is comet Temple-Tuttle named for the two people who got here across it. because of the fact the debris contributing to the bathe come from a comets tail debree the meterors will all seem back from a similar locale. The bathe would be close to to the Earth, yet while watching it, the mereorites will seem back from a history constellation. The bathe is termed for the constellation from which the meteorites seem to be coming from. for that reason it will be Leo the lion. for this reason the call is the leonids. Leo would be comming as much as the east of Orion. the suitable time to make sure the bathe would be after 2 AM, althoug some could be seen after ineffective night. the hot moon is on the nineteenth so it will be large and dark and with a bit of luck clean.
