The meteor shower will begin on Sunday, August 12 around 9pm local time (no matter which time zone you are in) and will go through Monday, August 13 around dawn. The best time to watch is closer to midnight or later to see the most meteors. To see the shower look towards the Northeast Horizon. Make sure you are about an hour outside of any major city in a rural part of town so that there are no lights to interfere with the show. Good Luck!

It is going on now. But the meteors are hitting the dawn side of Earth. Earth's rotation will take to there after midnight. They can bee seen from anyplace with dark skies and not too many trees or building blocking your view of the sky.

Night of August 12-13 will be the peak. Look north-northeast, about halfway up from the horizon. Best times will be about two hours before dawn. Get as far from any light pollution as you can or you won't see much.

You'll probably need to get outside the Dallas light-bubble to be able to see them (McKinney, maybe??); it will begin around midnight Sunday/early A.M. Monday or later (no matter which time zone you live in). Look toward the north-east to see them, toward constellation Perseus.
