I am trying to sell a 2 bedroom home in a neighborhood full of 3-5 bedroom homes (yes, I am the only 2 bedrm home in my neighborhood). My agent suggest that in order to sell my home I should list it at a price where I would net zero! I have been told by others to sell a home and net zero would look bad on my credit report because it looks as if there were no improvements made???? Is that just a bunch of bull or do they have a point?

Nothing to do with your credit score...it has to do with what makes more sense to you....do you MUST sell for some reason? or can you hold on a little is not the best time to sell right now, the market is slow right now, ask your real estate agent for a CMA to check the prices of other homes / how long have you been in that house?, you have a plus in your home just for being in a neigh. with big houses...if you have not sign a listing agre. with the real estate agent you need to seek another opinion.Do not sell you home cheap.

Your credit report does not reflect whether you profited from your sale or not, only whether payments were made on time, the loan balance, etc. You were given incorrect information.

I do not believe that would affect your credit.
