most psychologists would say it is because they are unhappy with their life so they try to make someone else's life worse. this makes them feel better somehow. Personally if they would go out and do something constructive they would probably feel better about themselves.

Actually, the questions for this site are in with the questions for cultures and groups. A lot of times, people put the wrong questions in the wrong sections. Also, some of the questions that I have answered have been directed toward straight people. So, all of these factors came together when I have answered questions here.

Low self-esteem, bashing others make them fell better. Very sad indeed, normal feel better when they are nice to people, but whatever, some people never learn or change.

i think there may be two answers to that question.
1st. trolls and trouble makers like to stir up problems and love negative attention, like a child will do something they know to be wrong to get attention.
2nd. people may be asking legitiamate yet ignorant questions, and when they type in a question, yahoo answers directs them to topic/subtopic which the question may fit.

Because they're trying to push our buttons and Yahoo doesn't prevent people from hopping around on Y!A sooo we get bigots.
All we can really do is report them if they get to be too obnoxious, downthumb their posts and be on our merry way.

Cause obviously you're right-they need lives. They think what they have to say is the center of the universe and that they're right and you're wrong, etc. I'd like to smack em around but then i'd get sued. >:

Because in their minds they think they are right and that they have the power to change the world.
