I've tried searching this but apparently I'm not putting in the right words, because I can't find the answer.

At night, how come sometimes I can see clouds at night and sometimes I can see stars at night.

Why isn't it *ALWAYS* dark with stars? One night I see clouds, one night I see stars...

well, stars are way out in space and clouds are close by. If it happens to be a cloudy night you see no stars, like in a cloudy day you see no sun. Stars are always there buy during the day, the sun light blocks them out.

Clouds do not know night from day, they form at any time.

Ummmm,
Because sometimes it's cloudy? Even at night.

Why exactly would you think there should be no clouds at night?
