If you are handling it at home do the same thing as we do. Cranberry juice and lots of water. Ibuprofen helps with the pain and keep the liquids coming. If it isn't better in a few days or you develop a high fever go to the doctor. A discharge, abdominal cramps or blood in your urine are all signs. if it gets severe, you are past treating it at home. Good luck~

Painful peeing.
Need to see a Doctor. They'll probably give you antibiotics to get rid of the infection.

What you are referring to is a urinary tract infection. Guys do not usually get these. The best thing to do if you have one is get a prescription for antibiotics--this will kill the bacteria and cure it. Go to WebMD and look it up.

Burning, frequency, urgency and pain. Increase your fluid intake and you can try using cranberry pills but you may need an antibiotic
