Congrats on your reconciliation, but if the money is being deducted from his pay and is being returned to the household, what's your rush?
Why is this [dropping your legal claim to support]important to the continued success of your relationship, is the question?
If you are going to be together this time for a long time, then there is no rush to do this, right?
The heart does sometime cloud our perspective.
Love is one thing, but taking care of you and your child/ren is a whole other concept.
If the support you received during the past 12 years was sought by you as a way to punish this guy for not being in your lives, then by all means hurry and cancel it, cause he's back, right?
Otherwise it was meant to be a measure legally establishing your child's right to be supported by his father regardless of where his father called home.
Just some food for thought mo matter how cynical it may sound.

Can you call the child support offices and inform them of the change? Here in MI thats how it works. Just call them up and request support be halted.
If the court requires more in Texas, the child support office will know whats required.
Think about it before you do it. there was a woman on here yesterday who also got back with her ex and is now broken up again with children and has no monay and nowhere to live. Before you drop the support, you might want to make sure this will work out.
If he's in the same household and paying the bills with you, does it matter that the court gives the household the money he would be putting into it anyways?

If you look under 'child support' in the yellow pages or even in the white pages, you should be able to find a Child Support Enforcement Agency in your area. That's probably the best way to start because they can get the ball rolling and do so for free.
Congrats on getting back together!

What you really need to do is to go back to the court where the child support was set up and talk to them. I don't think you will have to go back to court. You just need to prove that you are back together. I think the child support section is where you go. Good luck!

You could see if the superior court of your state has an on-line site where you can find out more about that. you would go to the family court location of the web site and look. you should be able to find an answer there.

You need to go before the judge in this matter or go back to your lawyer.

Call your local county DA office. You can ask for legal advice for free.
Or- call the courthouse that issued the child support. Ask how to revoke it.
