Different songs for different romances, i.e. the song is only relevant (for me) to the particular person involved and not to another, so someone else might not find them romantic at all! Anyway, a few are:

"Meditation" by Antonio Carlos Jobim which I heard repeatedly on the weekly television series "Run For Your Life." It was a story about a terminally ill man who wanted to capture every wonderful thing in life before his ultimate demise. The star was Ben Gazzarra who was married to Janice Rule.
