I am sorry to ask this crazy question but I don't know why my boss needs to play me. I bought a pen to use at work and it was same style with my boss's pens. So I put my name on it. Today she took my pen, I walked by her table and found it. But I didn't want to ask her coz it might made her shy. I just planed to wait until she left the table. Then when I walked back to her table, I didn't see my name on the pen. So I started to ask if somebody see my pen. She just ignored, smiled and offered me to borrow her pen. Until the end of the day I signed the paper for her and borrowed her pen, I found the mark of staple that I used to post my name on the pen and some character of my pen that I remember and I know it is mine. Why she has to be mean like that!!!

She's the boss, she can do pretty much whatever she wants, but you really should have spoken up when you saw she had yur pen.

Well, maybe she didn't take your pen deliberately, since they look alike. But I think you have to speak up if you want your pen back. Be polite, but just say something like: "Excuse me, but I do believe we've accidentally switched pens, because they look identical. But the one you're using is mine because I see my name is on it. May we trade, please?" I don't think she would refuse a polite request like that, especially when it has your mark on it. Unless it's a real expensive pen, I wouldn't make too much of it. If she keeps "borrowing" it, then just buy a different style pen. Good luck!

If i misplaced my pen yes i would ask if anyone seen my pen. when i walked over to the table and seen it i would have picked it up. you had to borrow her pen to sign some papers at the end of the day . when some people are in authority they don't know how to treat other people with respect get over it.

Bless your heart, honey. Here's the drill...buy yourself a new pen, tape your name on it, and accept the fact that your boss is a weirdo. It's not uncommon that weirdos get promoted to supervisory positions, and you're in the unfortunate position of working for one. I normally encourage people to stand up for themselves, but when you're dealing with a weirdo, they are impervious to reason. You need to get into "cover your butt" mode. And I'm sorry, but here's the worst part. Document every weird interaction with her, such as the one you've told us about. Eventually, something will come to a head, and you need documentation for your interactions with her. Good luck, honey. CYA and keep your nose clean.

Don't say anything, you'll just create static from her. Next pen, paint it, gold, fluorescent whatever she can't take all the paint off.
