Yes. Some things never change. I think there are qualities a person has that are with them forever and do not change no matter what.

Depends on what you're talking about. The saying may or may not always be true. For example, some things never change: women are socialized into being housewives, mothers; men are socialized into growing up to be the breadwinners. And just when we think things have changed...someone reminds you otherwise. "you're a woman--don't you know how to go cook?" Whether we say it out loud or not, some things never change. But then there's other instances in which that will not apply. A woman is running for President of the United States for crying out loud! And who said a woman would never do that? Some things will never be kept from change!

Absolutely true, some things never change. Thank God... We know that tomorrow the sun will rise and that's comforting. That those who love you unconditionally, will always love you. That at certain times of day, traffic will be heavy. On Black Friday, the malls will be mobbed. Remember though, that the unpredictable, the things that do change, keep life exciting. For example, a rainbow after a storm. Change can be great...when a person wakes up one day and decides to make a change: and dumps the controlling, abusive loser they live with who most likely will never change. Or the price of gas. Hey sometimes it goes up and sometimes it goes down. Take the good with the bad I guess.

That' very true my friend in a sense. Somethings it really never change momentarily. These could be the personality of a person, the status of life, the surroundings in your community, etc. This maybe due to factors like laziness, simple life, contentment in life. In other words, there are those who do not want to move on to their lives. Usually these are people from the remote areas. Unless these people are visited by a group of individuals or government services had been introduced to their community it is only the time they will change.
If you want a philosophical answer, the other answerers have stated their answers and i believe this is not the one you are into. I ponder your question just like putting myself as the one who questions it. That's why i answered in a different approach.

After all this time I still miss you ever day
The same world spins 'round
I guess some things never change
Sometimes I go out but it never feels the same
I still look for you
Baby some things never change
When I said I'd love you for eternity
I just never knew how true those words would be
Just an old love song
Just a mention of your name
My heart breaks in two again
I guess some things never change
Maybe someday someone else will set me free
Until then I'll live with your loves legacy
And I'll keep holding on
Hoping you'll come back someday
You can rest assured
Baby some things never change
Man I'm still in love with you
I guess some things never change
I still love you

The Elk Of UFO,
Yes I do sort of feel like this saying is true. For instance, there are "Bar-Flies"! When my Mom used to be a Bartender before she went to work for the Long Beach Police Department. Mom said alot of "Regulars" would come in every single day and order the same cocktail every single time. And sit in the same seat, every time they came, and it was the same jokes or stories every time they came. And she used to say this expression about them but instead of things it was more like "Some People Just Never Change!!" And I totally agree with her on that one!! Great Question!! Smile!!

the sun comes up in the east and goes down in the west.
not to seem flippant or anything but there are a few things that never change.
you could argue that all sunsets ,all sunrises are different but while that is true it remains a constant that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west.
but other than the laws that govern nature (gravity the spinning of the earth ,etc) id have a hard time thinking of somthing that never changes,
unless it be something like there will always be greedy men, always be war, always be hate and discontent, murder ,rape, starvation etc. etc. even these change in frequency ,in time or place of happening.
life is in flux.even if only in variations.
peace><>

everything that is not a neccessary being or thing has a cause (as neccessary beings or things have not cause) and everthing within the universe has a cause for existence (science is showing this in every experiment that is conducted) it is cause and effect, as the concept of infinite regress is illogical (as today would never arrive). something must have started this chain and must be a neccessary being or thing. this neccessary being or thing has no beginnig and has no end tan therefore is the only thing that has the potential to never change as things with a cause will also have an end and therefore will change!

Yes, it is true that some things never change, but, some People change for the better, when they have had a misfortune in their Lives. Also, as we Age, we start to change, our habits, moods and above all else we realize the mistakes we made when we were young, and try to make amends to it.

It all depends on how long forever is?
Obviously the Universe is different now than it was at the beginning of time.
For me, forever is the past 60 years and maybe into the next 40 years.
For my daughters, forever started 30 years ago.
For them people had been to the moon forever.
For me going to the moon was a significant change in behavior for humankind.

its "probably" true but its a meaningless & pessimistic generalization.
None of us can actually "know" for sure whether or not "somethings never change". The "somethings" are always going to be "things" that exist in one of our categories of experience.
consider the following conversation between Mr & mrs smith:
Mr smith: the sun rises & sets every day
Mrs Smith: yeh, somethings never change.
did Mrs smith really know for sure that "somethings" never change? how could she know that the future will always resemble the past when she has no way of knowing what factors will come in to play and have an influence on the "things" she is referring to?
