And this is news to you? They've also been training other nations in torture techniques and have been advising these country officials to use it on the clergy. This comes from declassified documents from the 70's - when Bush senior was in charge of the CIA. No one believed those poor nuns from South America at the time... they claimed that US officials were present at their tortures. Turns out it was true. How exactly do you propose to slap their wrist? These fascist bastards torture religious leaders... do you think they'd have a problem shutting you up? Good luck with that.

If they did not violate any federal laws -- then a slap on the wrist should be sufficient.

If they did violate federal laws, the individuals who ordered those actions should be prosecuted.

If there is any solid proof of laws being broken then those involved should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
