I am wondering if this is some kind of bonding experience for women.

I don't necessarily enjoy it, but it doesn't bother me either

I don't think any mother enjoys the task of changing diapers. It's just a fact of motherhood. Babies can't take care of those kind of needs themselves, so someone has to do it for them. The mothers who are smart and creative are able to turn it into a bonding experience, not with the act of changing a diaper, but the interaction between mother and child that can take place at the same time.

Never thought of it as enjoying it.When you have a baby you just do it....

Im also lucky enough to have a hubby that doesnt mind changing a diaper...without being asked. If he knows one of them needed changing..he just changed them....
(we have 4 kids and he prob changed just as much or more that I have )

I don't think anyone enjoys it. I nanny for a 1 and a half year old and its not a fun experience but I can do it without gagging to death.

uhh, don't wanna talk about it. I used to have to change it all the time for my little brother because my parents were off to work and my older brother was too much of a chicken to do it. And me and my little brother are only 8 yrs apart but i started changing it for him when he was 2 so it was not that bad but annoying to do it.

I don't enjoy it. But I do it because I love my son. Are there really women who enjoy cleaning up poop? I like bathing my son. THAT is when we bond. Not when he stinks. ha ha.

No--I don't think it's a bonding experience ( for me anyways). Just a maternal thing.

That's something that is tolerated by a Mother or Father, because of love for the child.

Its as bonding for a mom as it is for a dad, believe me.

I don't think it's a job that anyone enjoys doing, but it has to be done.

Yea, I guess it could be that... it falls under the whole taking care of a helpless baby category...
