I've only put a couple of questions in my private watch list. They are questions which I don't know the answer to but would LIKE to know the answer to.

I do that occasionally when I want to see the answers that get posted. It's a lot easier than searching back through pages of questions.

I do that ALL the time. Especially if it's a question I wanted answered myself- saves me the time and effort of asking it myself. And I like seeing what other people think if my answers.
