PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY:
I've had a female guppy for over a month now, and she's SUPER pregnant. She's been pregnant for over 2 months now, and I'm getting worried. Today, I got an algae eater, and I gave him an algae disc. Instead of HIM eating it, my guppies went CRAZY over it!!! After that female guppy finished eating, she was 2 TIMES HER NORMAL PREGNANT SIZE! I think she's bloated, but how come the rest of my pregnant guppies didn't get bloated? Is she going to be all right? Someone PLEASE help!

Female guppies can easily stay pregnant for more than a month, though 2 months would be extremely rare. Unless you see odd swimming behavior or scales sticking out like a pinecone you really have nothing to worry about. If I can help more, feel free to email me.

"Lol. Don't worry! She's just a fish. You can always get a new one. Or maybe your fish is just too fat. Feed her some diet food. (Guppies are only 2 dollars. If it was expensive, then you should start worrying, but it's not. Relax)" haha very funny. do you even have a pet or are ya just cold hearted? pets are NOT replacable . people can get attached to their pets! they can replace the fish but there will still be a void in their hearts. what you should do is look if the fish has that wierd disease magicman mentioned. you can find more info on it on bettatalk.com. i think its called dysentria or something.... they end up fattening and their scales sticks out... gives me the creeps.... it could also be the unknown fish disease that is fatal and there is no cure for it.... or she is just fat and cant poop for some reason...

OMG!! She's gonna blow!! Guppies and Platys and Molly's all love algae flakes and the disc would be the same, I don't know what would make her bloat up like that! Did you read the instructions maybe it is supposed to be soaked before you put it in the tank. Good luck!

If you are worried about her I'd put her in a breeder trap, that way she won't be scared to give birth. Make sure you remove her once she gives birth or she may eat her own babies. eeewww!! lol

She will be fine. She will take a dump soon. It sound like she is ready to birth anyway.
