actually its based on a true story, but a lot of the charectors are not based on actual people.
Tom Hank's charector was based on another manager. The person they created for Tom was fake.
Dottie Henson died a month after the movie came out.
but there is one thing ive found out
except for the older Dottie (she really is a actress who played her) who was NOT played by Gena Davis despite looks, a lot of the other Older players were actual players from the real story.

i love that movie i watched it last nite i think that they were real people they may have changed somethings like names and stuff to make the movie a little better but when movies are based on a true story the try not to stray to far from the truth during the war with all the men away the the women had to do the jobs that the men would do if they were there so to the moral of the nation the started a women's baseball league

I have seen the movie and really loved it. If I were you- I would do a little research on your own questions and see if the names were their own, etc.
Hope this is of some help.

Some of these women really existed, but they make up some things to add more drama to the movie.
