No one knows what anyone really looks like on here, and there are insults flying back and forth all the time.

No, not at all. I know below average looking people that have a lot of friends actually and nobody bothers them. It's about attitude. If an "ugly" person has a confident, courageous and "screw off don't mess with me attitude", chances are nobody will say anything to you.
There are beautiful people that get abused and receive rude comments from others, because others either get jealous or they perceive the beautiful person to be easy to pick on.
If this is about you, I'm sure you're not ugly...If someone makes a mean comment to you, chances are they're insecure themselves.
Edit: I don't agree that good-looking people always get treated better. Good-looking people have to deal with jealousy and back-stabbing from others. And they have to deal with people not taking their personalities or intellect seriously. A jealous person might tell the good-looking person that he or she is ugly just to make the good-looking person feel bad. Actresses get called fat and ugly all of the time.

I have a friend who is 4'11, she says she gets no respect from people because she is short, I have another friend who is over weight, she says people are rude and abusive because she is overweight, Another is alittle on the plain side, she says the same that people are rude, Im not short, obese and I guess average looks and I can tell you people in general are just plain nasty!! I dont think they need an excuse.

yes i do think that a person is is less attactive will be treated differently then an attactive person . i think the only thing that really stops people from being as rude as they may be is fear of being hit or harmed by the person .
good looking people do get better treatment in all manner of social situations.

I truly don't think looks have anything to do with it.
More then likely it has to do with the ugliness on the inside.
How a person treats others and carry themselves has a lot to do with how a person is treated.

Usually, yes. People tend to admire what the consider to be beautiful bc it's something to aspire to, revere, and admire.
Ugly is not healthy in society, and if you're not healthy, your at a deficit, and more likely to receive ridicule.
Sad, but true, unfortunately.

No. Just people who are unsure about themselves and predators, who take advantage of that fact. They are the ugly ones!

They probably get less than overweight people. Either way, it is mean to make fun of someone because of their looks. Some people cannot help it.
