can you really eat beaver?

Actually most any animal is edible. Granted some are not very tasty but in a pinch they provide at least some nourishment. Even insects and larve are edible. And many of them are very good. Probably the best tasting meat I've ever had was fried rattlesnake. And if you haven't tried it please don't turn your nose up at it. It's delicious. Beaver is very stringy and tough.

Yep, its disgusting what people eat now a ways. its kinda of like how we eat beef and pig. but we dont think its so gross because we are so used to it

I think anything could be edible at some point. Doesn't mean it will taste good, but I am sure it can be consumed.
