If youve been doing gymnastics then u should be fine in making the transition into cheering. One of the girls on my squad did gymnastics her whole life then just started cheering and her background was a big help to the team the only thing that she had a small problem with was the stunting and not being so serious while tumbling(smiing, and doing spirit fingers and such). I think that u will be a great aspect to any team that u go on but i would reccomend an all star or competive team.

It depends on the team. That would be plenty for my kids but other coaches might require a back handspring or tuck.

You need to ask the coach of your local team what the tryout requirements are.

um no. you don't do any of that as a cheerleader. you need strong tumbling, such as front/back tucks, layouts, fulls, and handsprings. try taking a tumbling and cheer technique class before trying out for a team.

not really. well it depends. most competiting teams try to do more fast pace tumbling suchs as handsprings and tucks and layouts and fulls. but of course you should do cheerleading because youd like it.

If you can do a back-handspring / back flip ...that would probably give you what you need.
