Disney Quest is a definitely a great choice for something to do when its hot out (gotta love Florida). They have tons of things to do, most of them having to do with various games, virtual reality things, etc. On the bottom level they have a Buzz Lightyear game where you launch things at other cars which is fun when it doesn't get messed up (not hard to run over a ball a weird way and get stuck), and there are tons of retro arcade games you can play while waiting for the next group (just make sure to get someone to save your spot). The other levels have a lot more electronic stuff, and there's a ton of things to do. The only problem is for some of the more popular games (Dance Dance Revolution being one) you may have to wait because some people like to hog them.
Another great thing about Disney Quest is on one of the levels there's a cafe and at the booths they have computers. You can check your email and do other various things while you're eating, but the computers are somewhat slow (but it beats nothing). Either way, Disney Quest is a somewhat-hidden jewel at WDW!

If you have young kids then maybe you could spend around 4-5 hours there. There's lots of arcade games and the only thing I did there was go on this roller coaster thing you design yourself on the computer and then you go in one of those simulator boxes and it does whatever you designed the coaster to do. You can make it go upside down as much as you want. I got a major headache on that thing. Oh yeah they have this fun rafting thing where you sit on a big blow up raft and watch the tv in front of you and you really have to use the oars and you get splashed a little bit. The whole family can do that. There is also some pirates of the caribbean thing but the line was too long for that. There's a lot of simulation stuff and also an animation studio where you can draw disney characters and stuff. If you have a 6 park 7 day park hopper ticket you can get in Disney Quest for free.

I used to go there when I was about 12 and I remember it being so fun! It's all virtual reality type rides. There is this one ride where you build your own roller coaster and then ride it. It has gotten pretty expensive though but I recommend that you go.
