It shouldn't be black. If it is then it means it is dry old blood. Try douching to clean it out.

It's just variation among people; period blood is by no means always bright red. It can be a great variety of colours, black being one of them. As long as everything else about it is normal, it's nothing to worry about.

When blood is black, it's usually old blood that has been in you. It can actually just be a really dark red, slmost a purple brownish color. I would def go to the doctor. Good Luck with it!

It means you are just bleeding slowly - the blood has time to lose the oxygen it takes to keep it red.
Link below ! Bottom of the page explains it.

IT MEANS YOU HAVE OLD BLOOD THAT HAS SAT THERE A LITTLE LONGER THEN IT SHOULD HAVE. EVEN A COUPLE OF DAYS LATE CAN DO THIS. OR AN SLIGHT INFECTION, A LOT OF WOMEN DO THIS, AND NOTHING IS WRONG. MAKES SURE YOU KEEP UP YOUR ANNUAL CHECK UPS ON YOUR PAPS. I WOULD SUGGEST YOU GO SEE YOUR DOCTOR AND GET A CHECK UP.

the reason behind that would be because it is old blood and you should get that checked out soon. it is not always normal and it could be an underlined problem.
