Get a water gun, fill it up with spit, and shoot at it... it will spit back with 90 mph spits, but I'm sure it will eventually get tired and walk away.

Llamas have a long woolly coat and should be OK by himself playing in the puddles for just a lil while.
When he comes inside though, I suggest you put him in the hot-tub.
