Our nation will not be torn apart by anyone, unless you and I and a lot of others allow such. To keep a nation strong, all must pull together. The great powers of history have always declined when they failed to stick together as a group. The smallest nation on earth can be the strongest, if it rallys together no matter what. First we must be very, very careful who we elect president this next time. Forget gender, or smooth talk look for the best individual. THINK!!!!! And act.

yes america has been bought and sold - jobs outsourced, unions broke, off shore accounts that don't get taxed - the new world order has made us little more then a uneducated consumer driven economy whose basic needs are becoming more and more difficult to procure.
who is in one it - well corporations - but these corporations have the government in their back pockets.
they are into developing a consumer driven world market that will and are plundering resources - if their is a devil - it is doing well.
our part - is complacency and a hypnotic anxiety that leaves us feeling powerless - we are playing into it.
but when we awaken - we can get it back - it is just a question of how far down we are willing to go.
fear the greatest controller of all is in power - fear of losing a job were you know every day you can be replaced - every day the government can pull another false flag operation, every day our border is kept open and people flooding in as our troops dye to protect what? - oil and the war machine.
wealth is shifting - wealth is sifting from our pockets to theirs.
who is behind it does not matter - the fact that it was allowed to happen means everything.

George Washington is an substantial guy in our history yet he remains in trouble-free terms one guy. The Founding Fathers observed the non secular persecution in maximum of Europe as a real evil. for that reason they rather mentioned that for the period of u.s. there ought to by no capacity be a non secular try for political workplace. on the comparable time each and every of the Founding Fathers signed the announcement of Independence. It explicitly states that the country is predicated on the thought there is a author and that "All adult males are created equivalent." for sure, the Founding Fathers as a team meant to renowned a appropriate Being.

Its being torn apart by extremes of thought and fear. We are experiencing many changes to our way of life now. We've been attacked by outsiders, parts of our Constitution have basically been suspended, extreme diversity, insecurity in employment, morality has even been politicized. People are just plain freaked out. We should really calm down and have a bit more faith in our basic fellow citizens, left or right.

Nope.
We've done this for years. It's not new. It's part and parcel of having free speech.
Oh, there are people trying! Lot's of them!
Many unpatriotic political bigots on any side of the political spectrum (vs. the patriotic citizens who may disagree, but put their country first and DON'T hate the other half of the country or otherwise insult them).
Many socialists, as this country is founded on things directly opposite to what is desired by socialism (wealth based on capitalism, private property, business ownership, competition, free speech, freedom of religion, freedom of expression). None of these things are useful to a socialist except as tools for bringing about socialism and then to discard them as dangers to the society.
Many anarchists, who simply think any government is bad.
Many enemies to the United States, who pretend to be one side or the other and try to set us against each other.
It will fail. All the attempts.
We thrive on controversy, on aggressive discourse. We argue like our world is going to end tomorrow (you see that one come up every election cycle as well), and then everything goes back to normal.
People forget. In other countries, even a tenth of what we say out loud/in print would already have sparked a civil war.
We just choose, each day, not to do it. Too many of us love our freedom to say what we want without feeling the need to act on it.
77% of us in a recent poll stated, quite clearly, that they are VERY PROUD of their country. Placed us at the top of the poll over every other country.
We can't be toppled by free speech. That's why our leaders even got rid of the sedition laws.
Sedition may be contemptible, but it can't hurt us anymore.
Look around you. Then go see/read the press of non-Western cultures and how "nice" everything is, how few problems they have. Then check to see what people are arrested for.
Free speech is the greatest gift we have ever been given. I'm proud to be part of the party that helped continue that fight (democratic), and will continue that fight (NO FAIRNESS DOCTRINE, republican talk radio hosts have free speech, too, even if I don't like some of what they say).
Torn apart? Only in the imaginations of a few. We are strong and growing stronger. Will for many centuries to come.

By fanatics -- on both ends of the spectrum.
Some are trying to destroy the country by destroying the basic constitutional principles that this country was founded on. They are doing it because they want power at all costs.
Some are opposing that power group -- also at all costs -- no matter how much collateral damage the fight is doing. Because those who oppose the power grab feel that allowing the power grab to succeed will always be worse than any collateral damage ever possibly could be.
And while fanatics are screaming on all sides, the real problems of the country are being ignored.

Yes...as long as we are divided, we have no power to change things. We take our frustrations out on each other, instead of directing it at our government. Meanwhile the mess that has been going on continues. We are easily distracted and gull able. Fear does funny things to people.

Pretty_Trini_Rican, is the one who has the right answer, it is most definitely the so called elite, who are tearing this country apart! The haves and the have mores! Why? Because they really believe that their money makes them superior to everyone else, and they think that they are the only ones who matter. This is not opinion, this is fact! And, I just read the answer posted by cosmicwindwalker...and it is even better...way better! *sm*
