Here's the link about the proud American tradition of dumping our most defenseless citizens on the street. Would Jesus support the American health care system or would he support a system more like Canada's? I thought Jesus wanted us to take care of our poor. Did you happen to notice the city the "Dumping" was occurring in?

lets see is it a conservative city?

no.... It was Los Angeles! a LIBERAL city.

Now if I am not mistaken, the tone of your question implies that only a conservative would do something like that or take pleasure in something like that. So why not provide proof of events like this occurring in predominantly "conservative" cities.

It seems to me the LIBERAL city of Los Angeles, in the liberal state of California (of which I happen to be a proud citizen of thank you) failed at providing the service.

it has nothing to do with conservative or liberal. only in a sad dark angry mind can there be a connection.

Oh and let me ask this, why if Liberals are so caring an loving of the homeless and their problems you find an out of control homeless problem in predominantly Liberal cities?

Try coming down to San Fransisco for a few days, visit Oakland and Berkley as well and tell me if the homeless there look like they are getting the "Love" you think the liberals are more capable of providing than conservatives.

when you have to pick your way through a herd of homeless to cross civic center park to get from city hall to the Asian cultural museum or the Bart station across from the Academy of arts. Then you can tell me how much more the Liberals care about The sick and the homeless.

I have seen your "liberal" compassion... it has a lot to be desired are well.

its the state and federal laws and insurance companies that are the main culprits, the homeless are something that is expendable, and an interferance of the profitmaking healthcare system that they pass on to the shelters responsibiliys!!!

most shelters are underfunded and can barely get by when emergency situations happen!!

like a disaster, weather or other extreme situations!!!
they are swept under the rug to remain overlooked until someone brings it out in the open!!!

then after it is made public there is a quick temporary fix until the public loses interest!!!

and then it starts all over again!!!

its been goin on for years, but kept pretty much quiet!!

a lot of states, like whem someone important comes to town arrest the homeless for minor infractions to keep them out of sight until the visit is over!!

its not the doctors or nurses fault!!

there hands are tied by the hospital administrations and state and federal rules and laws!!

it has been reported by several reputable news agencies, the only real help is from private donations and volunteres!!!

most of these peaple have suffered great trauma and hardships in life, and some do get back on there feet and contribute to society!!!

Jesus went out among the sick Himself and Healed them with His own hands - He didn't rob from Peter to pay for Paul's healthcare.

Christian churches probably do more to help the poor and the homeless than you or any other athiest liberals ever have. And unlike you, they do it voluntarily, without the government forcing them to help.

i don't know what the color of the sky in your world is....

but dumping is illegal..and hospitals get in trouble big time for it...

i was an administer for long term care for a number of years..and let me tell you....even when people don't pay...you can't make them leave...*lol*...

you can issue a "30 day notice"...and they can appeal to the ombudsman...and they will win....because we could not discharge unless they could be discharged into a "safe environment"...and that usually meant another nursing home...

guess what? not a lot of other nursing homes are willing to take someone who isn't paying their bill in the present one...

so there you are....can't tell you how many HUNDREDS of thousands of dollars i wrote off for just that reason...

i worked in wyoming, montana, colorado, michagan, oklahoma and washington state....and it isn't state law...it is federal....in all 50 states....

and hospitals are under that type of umbrella....

you can't dump...you get huge fines and maybe jail time if the person dies...not to mention the millions in the civil suit....

btw...i don't mind helping the "poor"....but when i see my tax money going to able bodied...i get a bit pissed seein's how i have WORKED all my life for what i have.... i started out my life in a 8 X 40 foot trailer with my mom, dad, and three brothers...so don't tell me about "poor" honey....been there done that...and worked...(there's that word again)...my **** off to shelter and feed my family....nothing...i repeat...

nothing was given me i didn't earn...

national health care? are you kidding? have you been to canada?? why do so many canadians come to this country for their health care? that in itself should tell you something...

how long does it take for a doctor in canada to get an MRI for a his/her patient? how long is that waiting list? months? what if you don't have months?

here...you have an MRI in hours if you need it...or can make an appointment...not in 6 months time...but in days time....at your convience....

national health care? anyone in the army can tell you that doesn't work...doesn't work...doesn't work...

sounds wonderful...just doesn't work out that way...

Jesus did exist...never once de he claim to be the son of god....

Besides there are just as many Democrat christians that vote the same way...

We don't need socialized medicine...we need to stop letting insurance companies dictate so much... a very big difference.

I find it ironic that Christians take a very hard line approach regarding abortion yet there is nothing said about the high rate of infant mortality in the the US. That's a preventable death.

This is common practice among hospitals. It is also common for religious based hospitals to do the same, like in California!

Then there are those that doctors and nurses walk over people for 45 minutes in an Emergency Room while they bleed to death!

Look at the budget cuts Bush did to the Veterans Hospitals, while giving tax cuts to the rich! And look at the care our wounded are getting. They had to sue to get treatment!

You think they care? Think again, they don't give a **it as long as they don't have to pay for it! They have no morals! Their pocketbook rules all that they do. Not all, but pretty damn close!

jesus also said the poor will always have their lot. throwing money at a problem, especially from a government full of out of control liberal extremists as the pelosi reid regime is not a panacea for a problem to go away. hillary clinton and nancy pelosi dont have the faintest idea about social policy for anything at all let alone the health industry. the idea that somehow an industry has to be socialized to help people is total poppycock. bush had the right idea, private pre tax savings accounts to help pay bills. i am far from rich, but have used that successfully and am better off than if we allowed ms pelosi to raise taxes for a failed scheme to control the health care industry. bottom line here, this country does not want the profit incentive to go away in favor of a marxist grip on an industry thats working hard to stay alive like the rest of us. somehow you liberals never seem to get it but self reliance is the key.

Ah, congratulations! You were able to tell an insulting lie about both Republicans and Christians.

It's one of the (many) reasons I will probably never vote for a republican again. Not that I have any loyalty to the democrats, but right now, if I had to pick a party as being closer to Jesus' message, it definitely isn't the party that calls itself "religious" and "right".

Peace to you.
