My late daughter Sherdavia knew there was no santa at the age of 3. Shhe came to me and said mom I know there is no santa because why would someone else come in our our home and give away toy he brought. So I explain to her and my other 4 kids that santa was a carring man who loves kids just as I do so he gave me the job of giving out the toys. I told her santa was the first man who gave something he was the Lord he gave his son to so that we can have long lasting life.

You might start by pointing out that Santa is prejudiced against llama, only working with reindeer.

Don't shear him in december so he'll still be nice and warm.
Don't make him carry heavy sacks of toys, or try teaching him to fly.
Avoid letting him graze on christmas tree farms.
Give him treats everyday, not just on christmas.
Allow him to hum, scratch his neck.
Keep him away from small children and any one who might be confused for one of Santa's elves.
Do not, under any circumstances play christmas albums recorded by Alvin, Simon and Theodore.
